Default Ford brake questions!

When was the end of the mechanical brake rod system? 1935 or 1936?, I know mechanical brakes rods were apply since 1928 in ford cars with wire wheels but in 1936 with the launch of the wide wheels ford did use brake rods to? Only I know in 1937 to 1938 they use cable system with wide wheels pattern and 1939 was the first year for hydraulic brakes, this system used the same hubs and drums from 1936 to 1938 the wide wheel pattern...
