The White Ones
I enjoyed Ratamahata's thread on black Model As. I'm wondering if anyone has a white one? I know this was never a stock color, except maybe the ambulance. But I have never seen an A repainted in white even after production. It has also struck me as peculiar that most American cars did not come in white until the mid-'50s, and then usually in two-tone combinations (55-56 Fords were especially tasty).

Re: The White Ones
A fellow turned-up at a local cruise night a couple years back with a '28-'29 Roadster that was white /black fenders... the wheels were either red or white... It looked like a 1950's - '60s "resto"...
The other year, I picked-up four 21" wheels with ancient Acme 5.25-21 tires; the wheels had been painted white... Last edited by Special Coupe Frank; 11-22-2011 at 09:07 PM. |

Re: The White Ones
Seems to me a saw an article about a motel down south that took a model a and had it stretched out to make a limousine. They used it to take their guests back and forth from the airport. I believe it was painted white. Neat car, would love to have one.

Re: The White Ones
Here is one I just finished recently. It was painted to match my kids riverboat. Google Riverboat Twilight to see why I chose this paint scheme. The truck is both for fun and shameless promotion of the childrens business.

Re: The White Ones
There were several Model A pickups in '30 or '31 that were ordered by General Electric and they were all white.

Re: The White Ones
This modified one caught my eye somewhere a few years ago and I still think it was very tastefully done:

Re: The White Ones
No picture, but a very strong memory of the soothest, quiet, and most solid feeling Model A I have ever driven. It was totally unrestored yet ran and operated like a Swiss watch!

1928-29 Two-Door Phaeton? Is this a UK example, never seen one like this one before. Warmed up to above -20 F. last night here for the first time since November 15. It was + 2 this morning, back to -25 tonight and through the weekend. Darryl in Fairbanks |
