Original New Day or current reproduction of same. The original had Pat. under where the timing rod fits. Stay away from the ones with the "S" in the same spot, the material used is too soft. Next in line would be the original style roller type. Never have been a fan of the Anderson.

The New Day is more forgiving if your timing cover is not aligned. The roller timer will wallow out the timer case if the cover is not aligned (it happened to me). The I have had nothing but good luck with the Anderson (flapper) timer I have installed now.

Thanks! I ordered a New Day. Sounds like they work well.

I run either Anco Flapper style timer or crystal timer. Both work great and have toured many miles with both. In my customer cars I install Ancos.
