Default Took the new roadster out for a spin

After getting the 28 roadster home, my first order of business was adjusting the brakes as they barely worked during my test drive. I checked and repacked all four wheel bearings and adjusted the brakes as the Service Bulletins and Les Andrews suggest. Yesterday was the first time I had a chance to try them out. I am happy to report that they work like a charm now.

The car drives very well. The steering seems a little loose compared to my Town Sedan, but the clutch action is great and it seems to run great. It was a hoot to take around the neighborhood. It's amazing how many things you need to do to a car that is in very good shape. I took a picture of it with my Town Sedan even before I had a chance to wash it.

Very nice looking cars, and now you have the best of both, open and closed.
I like the Roadster colors.

I see the city even voted your Roadster number one.

Progressive, flashy sort. Probably voted for Roosevelt.

Except for the Permit Parking sign and the license plates - the pix could be 1933.

My house is circa 1923, so I want to take a photo of the two of them in front to provide a more period look. Too many cars in the street to do it yesterday.

Did you realize that your new roadster is about the same color as your house ?

Not my house, but a neighbor's. Good taste in paint colors, though. ;-)

Great picture, looks even better without the parking sign. Congratulations, enjoy the Roadster. and, YES, I like the whitewalls on both cars.

I should take that sign out of the picture, if I can.

As for the hood gap, you should see it at the frame, i.e. not good. The frame is probably sagging there. Something to address another day. I am still getting it sorted out. As I wrote in an earlier post, What is better than a Model A in your garage? Two Model As in your garage!

Now put a raccoon tail on a stick onto the roadster and we'll be all set to repeal prohibition.

Sorry. I know you have better things to do.

Nice on that sign though. If one were not to know it had been there they would never see the seam.

Nice car! Can I ask what the color combo is? I have a '28 I am going to paint but can't quite come to a decision on the color. The "official" finishes book may have a lot of info but the color chips are almost worthless as far as helping you pick a color they are just WAY TOO small. The body color is currently a very match to what you have there but I just don't see that combo as being a '28/'29 color combo.

Milford, Sorry we missed the chance to see your new car. I can't wait to look it over.
I'm sure it'll be 1st choice for the politicians to ride in on July 4th.
