1954 Ford Ranch Wagon door panels
The door panels on my Ranch Wagon are long gone. I have a chance to get a used set from a 2 dr. sedan to use as templates. As I understand it the door panels are the same but I'm wandering how close the rear panels would be? I know that the wagon doesn't have window window cranks so the sedan panels have holes for the cranks. Other than that anyone have an idea how close they might be? My wagon is in the body shop so I can't measure it at the moment. TIA.

Re: 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon door panels
I had a set of door panels made at SMS fabrics a few years ago. The backing boards had holes cut out for the door handles but I had to cut the fabric myself. Their work is excellent and not cheap. https://smsautofabrics.com/

Re: 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon door panels
I would search for 4 door sedan panels, they might actually be really close to the same.
anything from SMS might take years to get. also $$$ If you get some great images and maybe a sample you can have an upholster shop make them also. |

If you can find some advertising for 54 wagons they may have some interior shots that might help. Maybe google 54 Ford advertising or something like that.

Try Larry’s TBird.com in so cal. They made custom door panels for my 1953 Courier wagon. I say custom because they don’t normally make door panels for 53, they start at 54. Top notch company.

Re: 1954 Ford Ranch Wagon door panels
I'm not exactly sure what you're wanting to know, but here are photos of my '54 Ranch Wagon's rear panels that were on my computer. (Car's in storage.) Don't know about the sedan, but since you said your existing panels are long gone, maybe this photo will help...maybe not.
My wagon is a Mainline, so the factory door and side panels are what I'd call cheesy. They are original on my car, though. |
