Ourginal points on NuRex upper plate??

I've been driving over 40K flawless miles with the NuRex upper plate (modern points and condenser). Setting the point gap is a bit of a hassle. I really like the original Ford points with the screw adjust.
Has any one mounted the original points on the NuRex upper plate. Sure would make my dist tune ups go a lot easier and more accurate.
Help, if it has been done with success, please tell me and share.
