54 Merc 256 intake fit a 54 Ford 239 Y block?

Can anybody tell me if a 1954 Mercury 256 Y block intake will fit a 1954 Ford 239 Y block? Some one told me that the angle of the heads were different?

I think that all of the Y block Ford/Merc engines are generally the same, The compression, valve size and combustion chamber varies as do the intake manifolds from a small single carb to single four barrels and/or multiple four barrels...

Angle of the heads are the same. The intake should fit with no problems.

The problems come in with the 55 manifolds as the ports are quite a bit bigger and there is a matching problem.
