Thanks, I'll check that out in a few minutes when I get up to take my meds.

Here is my early babbit motor. They are good little units.
Think it was rebuilt at some point before I had it but no idea when, must have been a while ago. I fitted the heads and inlet.
Thrashed it for over two years now and good for a 17.8 sec in the quarter. Still hoping to improve on that though.
Ignore the little zoomy headers, they were fitted to get me the last couple of tenths to break into the 17's.

The heads and inlet are Don Orosco repros. Not cheap but I was running 20.4 secs before I fitted them!
Yeah the puke tank is from a 40's Buick I think. Works well.
I recently upgraded to a crab style dizzy. Very easy to do to these motors with an adapter plate.

Wow, those heads really do make a difference! Aside from just looking cool. I was looking at the Mallory dual point dizzy as an option since I could use the clearance. Since mine is going in my '30 A coupe I don't want to recess my firewall much if any.

The Ford crab dizzy is virtually the same as the Mallory. Mallory actually designed them for Ford in the first place. They do offer more clearence than the divers helmet type even with an adapter plate. Here is mine fitted.

To be honest the fan and genny were already on the motor when I bought the truck and we haven't been able to work out what they are off. Sorry.

The generator is 1939. 1940 used the same generator but without the fan mount. In 1941 the second lug on the side for the ground was added. Before 1939 generators had cut outs with few rare units having regulators.
