It seems that the lower quarter panel edges were handled in more than one manner from the factory. Whether it was model specific or not I don't know. I've seen some (tudors for sure) that have had "scallops" similar to what you show above (between the door and wheelwell anyways). Any roadsters I've seen have had tabs about 1-1/2" long, folded alternately inside & outside of the outer edge of the subframe between the door and the wheelwell, and a plain narrow lip folded under the same edge in the wheelwell area itself. There was another post about this not too long ago I think - if I can find it I'll attach the link.


Here's the link to the other thread about a week ago, but there wasn't much discussion at that time. As Marco said then, maybe Brent will jump in with some of his observations.
