Ford 1934 window channel rubber piece goes where?
Hi
Does anyone know where these rubber pieces shall be attached. Came with both the door and rear window channel kit for the 1934 tudor/Vitoria. Seen that they shall work as a window bumper, but dont find any place to put them. Regards, Daniel |

Those are to go on brackets that are perpendicular to the inner panel of the doors and quarter windows, they stop the travel of the window when the glass retainer channel hits them. They help prevent rattles and assure the window does not go down too far.

Do you have any pictures of what these brackets your talking about look like? My tudor has no brackets perpendicular to the channel?

Re: Ford 1934 window channel rubber piece goes where?
Granted, my photos are on a '32 body and I have no example on a '33-'34 but I would expect they have a similar stop for the window. First pic shows stop with bumper, second is a front bracket showing location where riveted below the regulator panel and the last shows a rear stop bracket. Body is a Fordor and I do not know if Tudor has stops on quarter window regulator panel.

My 33 5-W doors do not have the bracket. Only location needing one of these cushions was at the bottom of the rain gutter for the rear window regulator. I suspect some of the 34 do not have the bracket in the doors either since the side window regulators have screw in stops preventing excessive regulator movement.

Those brackets were deleted from '32s late in the model year as running change when the stop was incorporated into the regulator. The quarter windows would have tabs for those rubber bumpers located on top of the wheel houses.

That's good info (as usual). My Tudor 32 is missing them on the doors, and I was stressing over it. Could not figure WHY someone would remove them.
No one makes them, as far as I know. |

They are available for model A coupe/tudor doors, and are close, if not the same.

Thanks all for the info on this one! I suspected that they didn't need to be used since all the regulators had the stop screws in my car. However it kept me busy for a while searching for a place that they might fit in.
