What is the problem? Is it a rebuild or shift problem?

I’ve got a 40 Columbia but I have all the stuff to make it a 35/6. I wanted someone who could assemble it and replace what’s needed.

He is one of our most-highly respected, long-time resident enthusiasts here on the 'Barn with a degree of old Ford, Lincoln Zephyr and specialty equipment knowledge that rivals the very best in this diverse hobby. Ken is well-qualified to go through, rebuild or service your Columbia rear end and it's associated systems....FWIW! Coop

Agree with V8COOPMAN, John at Columbia2Speed is great but you'd be better off if you have someone knowledgeable and closer to you go through what you have and advise you how to make what you have work in your application. Your local Early Ford V8 club could probably help as well with someone in the Atlanta area.

That will be an easy straight forward job unless you want to revise the housings. 40 rear end, tt, spring and radius arms will fit a 35/6 with no mod. If you are wanting a more exact appearing rear end, then you would have to trim the 40 spring hangers off, cut the axle housing radius rod plates off the 36 rear end and weld them on the 40 housings. The rest of your parts, the controls should bolt up. I believe Ken would be able to do this job well.
