Default Oil change?

I haven't driven my A more than a couple hundred miles in the last ten years, I'm ashamed to say, but I'm thinking I should maybe change the oil anyway. I know it wouldn't hurt, but is it really necessary? I'm using 10/30 HD oil and it looks fresh and new on the dipstick even after running. And I have an oil filter. I suppose the same question goes for the anti-freeze. Advice?

After 10 yrs I would change that oil and after that change once a year with that type of driving. The oil might not be dirty but I would me concerned about condensation.

JB,

Change out that anti-freeze like immediately !

While the anti-freeze chemistry will last longer, after five years you have lost the most important parts, the anti-corrosion & anti rust features. Most radiators are destroyed by being pugged solid from preventable corrosion.

Fresh oil & antifreeze are cheap.

I should have mentioned that it's always been in a heated garage, but the points are taken. I will change oil, flush the radiator, and refill. Thanks all,

Grease all alemite (zerk) fittings as well. I could go on but
don't want to put you to sleep.

Any time you run it, run it for at least 20 minutes so that it gets thoroughly warmed up and gets rid of any condensation. Short runs of only a few minutes is the engines worst enemy.
