Red dirt rising
One of the slowest movies I've ever seen, but the races got my foot a tappin'. About the origins of stock car racing. Movie wasn't the greatest but worth it for the old fords. Some great looking Fords and almost all period correct. Well, except the coupe that was running radials and 2 shots of a seat belt....

Re: Red dirt rising
The thing I liked about it was, that stuff was based on what actually happened.
In that one scene where they only showed one punch, that guy was made to REALLY hurt in real life. Last edited by Pete; 12-30-2020 at 07:51 PM. |

I found it on Amazon prime video. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for a free 30 day trial. Just remember to cancel the membership before the 30 days is up if you don't want to be billed.

Re: Red dirt rising
Pete, thanks for the link to the newspaper article. It was particularly interesting to me because I used to visit High Point for work a few years ago and was not aware of the racing history of the area.

Re: Red dirt rising
Thoroughly enjoyed the cars. And what great drivers they were in those races. No one even got a scratch!
