Round speedometer
The speedometer out of my 30 coupe shows 5mph slow compared to a GPS. Itook it out of the case & there appears to be an adjustment screw on the back side, is that possible? Can it be adjusted & how.

Re: Round speedometer
Hi Red,
Do you mean you have disassembled the speedometer or just removed it from the dash plate? The screw on the back of the speedometer case just holds the inner mechanism to the case and doesn't adjust anything. It is possible to adjust the speed slightly, refer the the instructions here: http://www.modelahouse.com/tech/spee...r/fischer.html Also, if the mileage reading is incorrect per the odometer, as well as the speed, the problem may be an incorrect drive gear. |

Re: Round speedometer
Yes I disassembled & noticed a small set screw, won't turn, on the back side. Thanks for the instructions. Red

All this is assuming that the odometer is reading correctly, meaning that the tire size and rear end ratio is correct. Mark's Model A Service www.marksspeedometer.com
