Default removing F-1 streering box

A friend wants to remove a F-1 steering box from his '30 Model A. I thought the F-1 was much better than the original. What gives??

Ask him! I’ve had three of them and they are certainly superior to a stock box.

F1 and others are better unless you are going for blue-ribbon judging.

Clem;

Most likely it is a F100 steering box (not a F1 box). If it is one of ours and the person is unhappy with it, then they need to let us know and we will resolve the issue. We back our products and services 100%. If it is someone else's F100 box, then we can work on it and try to correct the problem.

OWNER SEZ:
" The steering is very sloppy and loose. I’ve tried adjusting it but it hasn’t improved at all. I could rebuild it, but if I’m going to do that, why not rebuild the correct steering box and go back to stock?"
