Cannot Feel l Light Switch Positions
The model A that I just purchased has a aftermarket light switch.
When I move the light switch rod to the right to turn on the lights I cannot feel the spring loaded switch going into the indentations. The switch does work in all three positions, but I cannot tell at dusk if the lights are on without looking. Could this be a very poor quality switch,or could it be missing some parts. There is good spring tension at the base when I put on the spider. Thanks |

Re: Cannot Feel l Light Switch Positions
First is the bail all the way on and tight, then is it seated correctly in the steering column and all the way up, and lastly is it a REPO...because most of them SUCK and there is always problems, Check those things first, especially if the cap is ALL the way on the BASE.

Re: Cannot Feel l Light Switch Positions
I went through two repro switches before I got one that would work properly. No, it's probably nothing you've done.

Re: Cannot Feel l Light Switch Positions
I have found that putting dielectric grease on the contacts helps the repops work smoother.

Re: Cannot Feel l Light Switch Positions
Last year when I registered on the HAMB, I could not get Rowdy to work either, so I had to register under a different name. I looked under the members list and there was already 5 Rowdy's with slight variations. Decided to use my old e-bay sellers name instead. With the anticipated name claim game on opening day of the new barn I decided to get up early dispite working late the night before and make sure the same thing did not happen here. I was not sure how many Hambers would be now joining us or how quickly they would move in. Rod
