Since I'm a mechanic by trade and careful with my funds, I've never owned a new car or truck. Both of my later model Ford/Mercury vehicles have bugs on the glass. They aren't for the same purpose as they once were but they are still marked by the manufacturer as far as I am aware. Carlite & Carlex are the more modern names for Ford glass.
