Default '31 interior handles in late '30?

Can any Ford Production guru tell me when the 'side turn' '31 style interior handles first appeared?
Here is a rough late '30 Canadian Murray Town Sedan that I owned 38yrs ago. Interior was rough but original, even to rear carpet from memory.
It had these '31 style handles with the round type escutcheons but was not a true 1931 car. No 1931 imports to New Zealand [sales during Depression died] & mechanisms had not been changed. Also, no 'local content' here in that era, all Model A bodies came in from Canada 'built up'. Minor assembly by the distributor only.
They appear on a few late '30 fordors here. When did these style interior handles first appear in production in USA?
Thanks
Tom
