Default General jumbo wheels

Hi, I think that I was fortunate to find 4, 14inch General Jumbo wheels with 7.50 14 tires mounted. The wheels are in very nice shape and although the chrome is probably long gone from the centers they have been power coated. They look nice on the car but the rear tires look out of place and way to small for the fender opening. Question to anyone who has used these is what size modern tire have you used successfully. I'm seriously thinking of running a modern radial black wall with these as they will not pinch the bead like putting radials on 16" wheels.
And of course I've posted an add in parts wanted for hubcaps.
Thanks
Larry

The largest I saw were G70-14 but these are wide as well as tall. Try contacting one of the tire dealers like Croker.

Actually the largest were "swamp" tires. Great if you want to take your A in the sand dunes or mud.

Like to see what you mean by “bead pinching” with radials on 16” ford wheels..I have a set on mine, tubeless with steel stems.

I believe that they are 6" wide.

The tread width is generally wider than than the rim width with th 16's. Some folks say that the all electric rav4 tire fits the 16" wheels well.
I tried radials on my 16's and didn't like how they looked or fit the rim. Ended up with Cooker bias ply.
