Re: 1966 Thunderbird 390 4V
I haven't seen too many 58s that didn't have rust on the fender tops just behind the headlamps. My uncle had a 58 Ranchero back in the day that was pretty cherry but it had some little pin holes up there.
Looks like the trim you have on the car now is still in decent condition. |

Re: 1966 Thunderbird 390 4V
You are correct in comparing the T-Bird grille to this one. I thought so too.
The headlight doors on mine are chrome but pictures show some were painted. Thought about air brushed name plates. I will decide on that closer to when it is finished. |

Re: 1966 Thunderbird 390 4V
It was likely built at the Oakville plant. Ford of Canada didn't have all that many plants in that time frame.

Re: 1966 Thunderbird 390 4V
The only way to determine the ASSEMBLY PLANT is to de-code the PATENT PLATE and you need a FORD of CANADA WSM and/or MPC to do that.

Re: 1966 Thunderbird 390 4V
Had a 56 Meteor CV back in the day in the same color combination like the Vicky shown there. Had to sell it when I got drafted in '69. It's at the top of the list of "cars I wish I still had".
