Lawless....
Went and saw the movie last night and thought it was pretty good!
The boys liked it too. Should I trade in my A's for the Pierce Lebaron sedan in the movie? The cars sounded good too. |

Re: Lawless....
Any Model A's injured during filming?
I was hoping to take my Dad to this film (just to ogle the tin) but it has yet to open up here. Any Barner's have a car in the film? |

Re: Lawless....
The '30 model A Coupe that was shot up is on its way to Buffalo. It was amazing to see how the prop guys plant those explosive charges in the body. Take a pick or like pointed tool poke a one inch diameter hole in the car, place charge, add Bondo, and paint, and off it goes. BOB

Re: Lawless....
The only thing I didn't like about the movie was that too many of the Model As had whitewalls.

Re: Lawless....
Glenn, I agree with you on the whitewalls-but then again, that's Hollywood-flashy!

Re: Lawless....
And, back on topic....
Regarding the movie.. Was there any foul language? Did they use the Lord's name in vain? If no name in vain or foul language, I'll take the wife to see it in the A for sure. |

Re: Lawless....
Went to see Lawless yesterday, was good with Model A's, T truck, and a sharp Model B roadster. But the foul mouth was "BAD" so sad, like you say that's Hollywood. I was glad to see the Phaeton, I guess because we have a 28...

Re: Lawless....
I just saw the movie tonite, without giving away the story, the Lord's name is used in a manner not fit for Sunday-go-to-meetin' people.
That's all I'm going to say........ |

Re: Lawless....
There were several T's in the movie, probably the same number of A's .

Re: Lawless....
My wife and I seldom go to movies.....but its our 25th anniversary so we thought we'd grab dinner and a movie. We both loved it,,,,a word to those who would be offended.....lotsa violence....language is raw and has some nudity....but the old cars are great.

Re: Lawless....
This movie was filmed for the most part in the Spring of 2011 south of Atlanta, and featured several cars from members of the MARC Southside A's group - in particular the '31 phaeton Robert Carden) and Victoria (Eugene and Kathleen Willingham).
