1941 Cabover pictures as requested by Vilanar
1941 Cabover cab and grille. Acquired from a Idaho junkyard, we paid in the high 2 figure range. Windshield is filled and widened 2 inches.
Sleeper is in ORIGINAL PAINT. Yes true... read more. Chassis is 1973 GMC 3/4 ton pickup, motor is the 350 Targetmaster that was in the chassis. Front fenders, lengthened runningboards, custom rear fenders (modified 1940 pickup) and sleeper are all fiberglass. Bed is custom made aluminum box, with wood trim to simulate a stake bed. |

Re: 1941 Cabover pictures as requested by Vilanar
We custom built the sleeper, we took molds of the back 2/3 of the cab, mated the molds together to make a 1/2 sleeper, then bonded the two halves together... and a lot of body work!
We shortened the front of the frame and used a van steering box, which gave us the correct angle. |
