brake / clutch pedal finish
I was cleaning my '29 clutch and brake pedals to get them ready to re-paint and I noticed it looked as though Ford dipped the arms in black paint. But only 2/3 of the arms were painted. The pivot end was un-painted.
Is this normally the way Ford did these? Should I duplicate or just paint everything black?

Re: brake / clutch pedal finish
I have a NOS VE-28 clutch pedal,...and it's dipped, except for the
lower portion(maybe 2"-3").... |

Re: brake / clutch pedal finish
Thanks DJ. I guess mine's original then.
Do most guys just paint everything black? I didn't see anything in the JS about it.

Re: brake / clutch pedal finish
I figure that they were probably mostly done as said in post # 2 and would have mostly been gloss black. I now just spray mine semi gloss-satin black like the running gear and they better match the black floor mats in my standard model A's . May lose judging points but I'm not in to that sort of thing.
