That is a 1950 Deluxe (not Custom) business coupe. These were the bottom level trim line wihtout a rear seat. There was a large shelf where the rear seat would have been installed if it was a Custom Club Coupe. Another difference is the bottom level Deluxe coupe had fixed rear quarter windows while the club coupe had swing out quarter windows. Lots of trim differences between the two levels of car. I kinda like the base level 1950 cars. Oh, and at least in the USA the Deluxe cars came factory with 16 inch wheels.

Those are popular cars -easy resale when done. Three bolts thru the frame for the steering box- always inspect them. Have a '50 cpe in the barn myself project car. Newc

I notice the fellow driving the business coupe is not smoking a pipe.

And why is no one gouging their head on the front corners of the opened hood?

Looks like a 49 hood to me, but maybe a replacement? It's a project, so good luck with it.

Exciting
It’s in about the same shape as my 50 Tudor sedan.
Check out Shoebox Central. Also the shoebox build on Puddins Fabshop utube channel.

Thanks guys for the encouraging words...I won't be picking it up until March as there is just too much snow on the hwys and it's bloody cold now, -30C for 2 days and no end in site.

Looking forward to the project....will be fun for sure.

Cheers

Hi guys,

I am getting ready to head out to retrieve this project car in the next few weeks and I am applying for the reg now as it is missing can take a few months to get and need to know what the model number is, or how it is on your paperwork. My VIN tag says the model number is 0572C and the first part of the VIN is 0572CH50. Is that how it should be registered? I guess the Body Style is 2 door coupe??

Thanks for the help.

Cheers
