Default Colorado Flooding

Have heard from one of our FB friends in the Boulder CO area. He is experiencing significant damage to his home and shop. Please keep them, and others, on your prayer wheel for a speedy recovery.

Best of luck to all Ford Barners in Colorado! I have family in Denver, but they are pretty much safe and unaffected in their part of town, thank goodness!
Has anyone any info on Bert's Model A Parts in Denver?
How did they weather the flooding?

We at Berts Model A Center are just fine. While the largest river in eastern Colorado runs 100 feet from our front door, it remains only a bit over normal flow, since it is well controlled by dams upstream. After it flooded in 1965, the Army Corps of engineers built a dam, so that could not happen again.

Downstream, it is flooding the entire northern Colorado.

We have had more then an entire years worth of rain since last Monday.

Many homes and businesses lost, Many lives lost, Many roads and bridges gone, but hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow and all can start rebuilding.

On the up side.... no more forest fires!!!!!!!

Flooding expected here early this week. Likely mimimal as the Platte river is only at 5 ft. now and expected to be about 12 ft. at the highest. Had a lot of rail here last night, so will wait and see Monday and Tuesday. Hight water flooding in nothing like falshflooding and easier to predict and survive. Rod

That's a relief, I was afraid your stuff might be washed all over Chestnut Street. It is a shame what you are all going through but Coloradans are tough folk and will bounce back. Yes I would say fire danger is over for the time being.

I was in Boulder years ago (IBM) and remember driving up the canyon road to a bar in Nederland. Quiet, beautiful, peaceful country. Can't believe what I'm watching on TV.

My picture of me/car was taken in Longmont, Colorado. That area (creekside) has been evacuated of people....it's an island now.

Lots of the area's around where I lived in Colorado are destroyed now....

I'm hip.

I live in New Orleans and the coverage on the news is giving me Katrina flashbacks!

Skeezixx,

Just have your oil level checked by that lady in your picture and Katrina flashbacks will be replaced with other flashbacks !
