1941 Mercury wiper motor and switch
The wiper motor (SSR-1) has an inlet and outlet tube. The switch has three tubes. How do I "plumb" this?

Re: 1941 Mercury wiper motor and switch
It's been a while but this is how I remember it. Your "switch" does have three press on hose fittings. Two are slightly larger than the third. Your wiper motor has two hose fittings, one large and one small. The center fitting on the "switch" should be from your vacuum source. The other two should be self explanatory, the small tube goes to the small fitting on the motor and the larger to the larger fitting.

Interesting. I'm trying to find if they are 6 or 12volt motors. Here in Oregon the wipers don't ever get turned off. |
