brake clips
I have 47 car which I replacing the front brakes shoes. Wondering if there is a proper method of putting those clips in that hold the shoes up against the backing plate ? I got one on three more to go. There must be a easier way.

Re: brake clips
Squeeze the part than fits the backing plate in a vise. These clips are very important, as they hold the shoes in place so the drum can be removed easily. We sometimes find that they were omitted, making drum removal very difficult as the shoes tilt and lock the drum in place.

Re: brake clips
I finally got them in today. I kinda found how to put them in as it was trial and error. A pair of vise grips and a screwdriver. All is good, thanks for the reply, Moe

Re: brake clips
I've always installed them prior to putting the shoes on, then install the shoe and slide it into the clip.
