Default Can you ID this tap

Found this in a coffee can of taps from my late Dads stash, does the Whit. mean it's whitworth size?

It looks like a 1/2" pipe tap to me but I have no clue if they have Whitworth threads in pipe size.

If it is BSW ie. British whitworth thread is should be 12 threads per inch. I don't see anything in a "whitworth pipe" ONLY British Standard Pipe which is 14 tpi.

Count the threads in 1"
If it is 16 TPI, then it is most likely a Whitworth BSF (fine thread)
