Default 1929 Coupe block placement

I've painted my body blocks and trying to figure out exactly
where they will fit on my frame. My coupe body is not ready to
be placed yet, but I want to know if I am on the right track!

Do you have Les Andrews' Volume 1?

There is a whole section on body blocks starting at page 1-24.

Thanks, 1955cj
I have his book and it helps. But the block for Hole 9 (at the rear of the frame) does not look like the longer one in the illustration. The one that came with the body block kit I received was the little one in my picture. Any ideas?

I see what you mean......I guess I would talk to whomever you bought the block kit from and see if they offer the longer block....I don't suppose you have the old blocks?

I have the old blocks, and they are almost identical to these smaller ones, but without the bevel. Actually, all my old blocks were in pretty good shape except the ones under the cowl. When I go to place my coupe body, I will figure it out. Thanks.

Your block positions look fine. You will just want to turn the back blocks around so the notch faces front inward.

Thanks, Gary. That was the final piece of my puzzle! Now to get to work on my poor coupe body. Years of weather in Alaska near salt water was pretty rough on it. I am amazed that all the glass is intact. Interior wood held together until I moved "Bessie" to Nevada in the high desert climate. Omigosh! The dampness was holding everything together. Now anything that was water-soaked has turned to dry punk. Hey! It's easier to remove, anyhow.
