28 29-30 31 door interchange
New to the forum, found it while trying to find out if 28 29 two door sedan doors will interchange with 30 31 doors.
I recently picked up most of a rusty shell of a 28 tudoor sedan body for a rat rod project. It has a tank, cut out already, cowl and wind sheild frame. Both quarters and rear panel. Sub frame was torched in two at the quarter area, don't know why. I have a left door but no right. Its a bare shell, been through a fire, a bit of rust down low, and little warped. Previous owner said they counted 239 bullet holes in all. I'm taking there word for it. So basically I'm not ruining a good car. I tend think complete cars should be kept that way. I've found some 30 31 doors that match the condition of what I own but can't find out if they will work and they're to far away to go unless I know they will fit. Over $4 a gallon for gas here now. So will the 30 31 doors bolt up to my 28 hinges? Will the body lines match at the quarters? Are they the same height? The roof panels above the doors are gone and since the sub frames been cut I can change the length a little if need be. Any help or suggestions are appreciated. Thanks. |

Re: 28 29-30 31 door interchange
'28 '29 Tudor doors are not the same as for '30 '31's.Early ones are a bit longer, also they have different revels/ swaging moulds. The '28 '29 coupe doors should be the same as for a Tudor.
