I am working on a 32 pickup. The gas tank under the seat does not have and gas gauge stuff in it, only the open hole in the bottom with the screw holes for the plate. I need to know what goes in there and if replacement parts are available. I have a very good original gas gauge and would like to use it. I looked in the catalogs and see that there are parts available for the cars with the tank in the rear of the frame but the gas gauge sending stuff is in the top of those tanks, not the bottom like my pickup tank. Any help I can get on what I am looking for and availability will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Curt

I would just put the gauge in the tank to fill the hole. Those hydrostatic gauges to don't seem to work very well. Just my $0.02.

Here's an illustration of what you are seeking. There has never been a reproduction of it, but an original should not be too hard to find.

I tried to hook another To see if I'd do a little good, But ain't no place to put it 'Less I perforate the hood. Wanted, lower side sections of 32 radiator cowl.
