34 pickup door latch

I have recently purchased door latches for both doors for my 34 pickup and I'm having issues with the inside mechanism working properly. It seems to have quite of bit of fricton when trying to opening the door. The outside works great but, the inside seems to not free up or stick when you are pulling on the inside handle. If anyone has expierience on installing these, and can suggest anything or tell me what I am missing, I would appreciate any input. Thank you
