You should make a trip to Charleston, West Virginia. There is a mansion there, that was built by a very rich man, at the begining of the last century. He became Governor of W. Va.
Anyway, he traveled the world, collecting pieces, to build a giant fireplace, of items, which would be impossible to collect today. It is made of pieces of the Pyrimids, London Bridge, Great Wall of China and on and on. The mansion used to be a museum and was open to the public. It was was called SUNRISE. It is a law office today.
I have a Rolleflex and a couple 3F Leica bodies/lens that were my daily camera, before I found a couple Leicaflexes. Sorry to say, they are all collecting dust, now.

Mike-

That sounds like a fascinating place. I get through Charleston WV from time to time.

I never take a part of a structure (except for Saddam's Ministry of Defense building which had been reduced to rubble by an American cruise missile.) Preservationists would be all over me. Not really a scientific endeavor, just something I do.

If you have been through Charleston, WV on I-64, you may have seen this mansion. It overlooks downtown Charleston, from across the river. Just look up, to the right of the downtown bridge. They might even let you look at the hugh fireplace. I don't know. Just go across that bridge and keep hanging rights. Ask about anyone, where Sunrise is.

Brad, That's a fantastic collection and all in such good condition. You could have your own building at the Gilmore in Michigan.

I'm with you. I have a Wurl 780 and Wurl 800. Coin op GE fans and other antique fans, vintage speed parts, neon signs and dust are a few other things I collect.

Brad You have some wonderful petroliana there!

Did you move all that stuff over to the States , with the Car and the G28T engines ? Thats some collection to shift .

I've moved my collection of cars and parts over 3 countries ! Glad to see I'm not the only one.

Mass A Man get's my Vote !!! Love the Wurlitzers and the old music that was played on them!!!

Wow! These collections are great. I collect guns, Star Trek, stamps, Nascar (Dale Earnhardt), and now Model A stuff for my restoration.

For the last 19 years I have been collecting kids. I have stopped with two, due to the expense and time involved. Luckily, it only came with one wife, who is also expensive to maintain, but is worth it, for she allows my two Model A’s and helps with the two boys.

After they are out of college, who knows what I will collect, knowing my luck it will be those little pesky grandchildren who always want to ride in the rumble seat and honk the ahooga horn. Life is good!

Wow, this is wild! We collect nothing. I've never even seen a genuine collection as you guys are showing here. Guess you just do it for fun. Looks fun.
Oh wait, my wife says I collect tickets. Very expensive. But they mostly just come to me, though. I don't have to look very hard.

Tickets? That's no fun. At the end of the day you have lost a lot of money and have nothing to show for it. And, you haven't even had a good time loosing it.

Hey, Tom, you been talkin' to my wife? Did she send you a copy of her speech or was it the other way round?

Imagine how many cool parts I could have if I didn't keep handing it over to the mobile tax collectors! I thought points on my license were Loyalty Points, and would earn me a prize someday. Really, I feel like crap, but like poor old Mr. Toad (Wind in the Willows), I'll never change.

Looking at all those cool things you all have collected makes me wish I'd seen the value of old things long time ago. I'd like to see more pictures of these collections.
