Default Plating

Has anyone had any experience with the home Nickel plating kits sold by Caswell or others? Any input would be appreciated.

I know of a high end restoration shop that plate small prts using their kits. The have charts for the temp of the chemicals, times per Sq inch etc. He says it took a long time to learn but he gets good results now that he knows.
