Default 35 Ford Cabriolet vs 35 Ford Phaeton pricing

If a 35 Ford Cabriolet and a 35 Ford Phaeton are for sale, and both are the same color, and the same restoration quality, the same options, which one is worth more?

How tall are you? The front seat does not adjust on the phaeton and if you are much over 5’8” tall, it may be a little tight for you. The cabriolet has roll up windows, so it is going to be a little more weather tight than the phaeton. How many passengers do you want to share the experience with? I would prefer the cabriolet with rumble seat over a phaeton. Either one is going to give the rear seat passengers a windy experience.

The cabriolet would be my choice. In my opinion phaetons are basically parade cars.

What spins your spurs... imho

Phaeton story... Street rod / pre rat rod with nice modernized chassis and rough unrestored body. No top. Two couples on an Americruze with us through Yellowstone National Park. Lots of blankets to keep everyone cozy... especially the two in the back seat. In Yellowstone the rule is you share the road. In this case with a herd of Bison crossing alongside the phaeton. With a big bull. Did I say big. I meant BIG. So as they pass (peacefully I might add) the group in the phaeton gets to do a close up undercarriage inspection of the "king of the prairie"!

Actual sale prices in the past few years clearly indicate the cabriolet is worth more than the phaeton.
Sadly, both models have taken big hits recently.
I have seen a few VERY nice cabriolets offered in the low 30's, high 20's in the past few years.
