Blue Upholstery in an early '28 Phaeton
Seeing the remains of blue upholstery in an early 1928 Phaeton really cought my eye, how rare was that, and what were the body paint options that went with it? Bob

The Blue gray was used in1929, not in 1928.. All Body color options are in the judging standards..

This is bright medium/dark blue in the rolled under portion of the rear quarter panel area, an area that never saw the light since leaving the Ford factory. Car has all the right early features,it is NOT a 1929. Bob

By the way my offer on the restoration manual is genuine and still stands.

Does anyone have photos from the world meet that was held in Dallas a few years back. Enrique Klein restored a phaeton that had the blue upholstery. I thought that his Phaeton was a '28.

Maybe the color will change when I get a copy of the Judging Standards. Customers car not mine, just thought the info might be of interest. Bob

The photo is interesting. The material shows aging characteristics appropriate for the pyroxylin material originally used there. However, is sure shows signs of being messed with or replaced. The cover should be sewn to the cardboard at least up the rear and possibly along the bottom. The Hidem welting has been replaced for sure. I can't really see the color in the photos. I'm also assuming it isn't Canadian.
