Re: It has arrived
Very nice '56 Customline !
Is it a 6 cylinder ? I say that because there is no V8 tag on the fender. Sal |

Re: It has arrived
Awesome! And 6 cyl to boot! You don't see many 6's out there anymore. If worst comes to worst you can replace it with a 300 6 which will give you more options for speed/power/economy.

Re: It has arrived
Sweet little '56! Wouldn't take much to put a hepped up Y-block in there. Just my thinking.

Re: It has arrived
Good looking '56. I've had one or another of them for the past almost 60 years now. It's a good ole car & fun to have.

Re: It has arrived
I vote to upgrade it to a later model straight six from a half ton pickup. Late 80's had fuel injection and plenty of power.
My '56 Vickie has a 302 from an '86 Mercury, been in there since 1991. EFI and Automatic OD trans. Uses the '86 computer. |

Re: It has arrived
Nice, but it would look better in one color in my humble opinion...(which doesn't matter).

Re: It has arrived
What's the third character of the serial number which indicates the assembly plant? My father worked at the Atlanta plant when they were building them. If it's an Atlanta car, he leaded the seams on it.

Re: It has arrived
Beautiful car. Congratulations. And many salutations to the previous owners who kept a 6 cylinder engine in that Customline.
