You bet it would be fun as can be seen in the video and the scenery is spectacular, but it must take every ounce of strength one can muster to make it thru to the end.

I went on the Great American Race in 1988 as a single member support crew, and transporter driver and spent as many as three days and nights going non-stop and it was grueling. This is at least twice as long and probably twice as hard....It must be torture if you run into a lot of trouble.

Mike- You're going to have enough adventure just driving your Model A to Puyallup next week!

I watched the video (thank you for posting it!) and noticed that when covering people with car problems, I never saw one of the Model As broken down. Did the Model A's complete the rally without mishaps?

For this kind of rally I would think that a VW bug converted to a solid "baja bug" might be the way to go.

At least this one did, in the film you can see a manifold from the filter that is on top of the hood down to the dual carbs.
