Default Driveshaft length 46 pickup

On the woodie I have noticed there is about 1 3/4" of shiny yoke showing on the front end of the driveshaft u-joint when at rest. The brand new seal is also leaking a bit there. When I got the pickup(the woodie) it had no driveshaft, but I picked one up on CL that was from a '48 pickup. IIRC there was a very slight difference in the length. I had one in a very complete 47 pickup and didn't want to steal that one, but at some point I had them both out and they seem to have gotten mixed up. Does anybody have the correct length or can someone look at theirs and see how much of that sleeve is showing at the front u-joint? It worries me that there might not be enough engagement at the trans. Trans is 3 speed and I think it is the stock arrangement. Thanks.
