Shoutout to Shoe Box Central
Ordered a EMS patch panel for my '54 Ranch Wagon from Shoe Box Central on Wednesday 11-30-22. Received it today, Friday 12-2-22. Pretty amazing, especially considering its the holidays. It was well packed and the shipping charges were more than reasonable.

I've had the same experience numerous times in the last few years. Seem to always ship the cheapest was, well packaged and good products. They will also answer your questions without hesitation. Great place to do business with. |

X3!
Bought some hood hinges for my '54 from them. Arrived in a couple of days, dirt cheap shipping and something I thought was kinda odd, but welcomed.......didn't charge me any sales tax! Shoebox Central for the win! |

Tell me about your hinges? Were they NOS or used? I thought about replacing the slightly distorted hinges on my '54 (Ranch Wagon) but a pair were very expensive. Hundreds of dollars, as I recall. I think I was looking at used hinges (not from shoe box central.) If I can find something affordable (but solid) I might go for it. |

Re: Shoutout to Shoe Box Central
They're brand new with an improved design. $500. Haven't installed them yet but they look to be very well made. I went back and forth too, because of the price but I figure I have so much work into this car already the joy of new hinges will far out weigh the pain of spending the money. The pain disappeared the moment I opened the boxes!

Re: Shoutout to Shoe Box Central
Thanks a bunch for the info, evintho. I had no idea that new hinges were even available for these cars. That price isn't much more than what the used ones I was looking at were priced at. The problem with used hinges was that I couldn't be sure they were in much better condition than what was already on my car. I'd have more confidence in new hinges, condition wise. That's still a lot of money, though. I'll have to ponder it...
