Re: cowel band on early 30
Some of the very early 30 cars have a longer cowl band. Eyebrow fender cars. Something like January and February 30.

Re: cowel band on early 30
I have a January '30 Murray town sedan, eyebrow fenders. The cowl band is one of a number of unusual parts. It goes flat to the splash apron, not rounded (and it looks different). Also a mix of '29 and '30 parts, ie: rear cross brace, cowl lights, rear view mirror, etc. Guess the '29 bins weren't totally empty when this one came down the line!

Re: cowel band on early 30
They are not remotely close in shape or design as the '29 is brass moulding that snaps onto a permanent retainer or base moulding. With that said, I'm crazy enough to repair/change the cowl back to the way it was to preserve the uniqueness of the very early '30 design. They aren't very common.
