Default Clutch Fingers 1/2" Off!!!

So I go to measure/adjust my pressure plate fingers on my '31 Tudor and for a moment I thought I was holding the wrong tool. My fingers were a whole 1/2-inch out of adjustment (low)! Needless to say I consulted the repair manual again a few extra times and sure enough, 5/8" is the standard and mine were 1-1/8th" deep...

My clutch disc is an original style disc that was glazed over with rivets rubbing so it needed to be replaced anyhow but now I know why I had to press the pedal to the floor to disengage the clutch. Clutch pedal will need full adjustment now to get it back to baseline new but now I can't wait to drive the car!
