Is 42' Screw jacks or hydraulic?

I will be interested to see what they say when you call them. It is always nice to have someone that can rewind the top motor.

My understanding is 41s & 42s are both electric screw jacks that are a different design for each year but interchangeable.

A local club member has a 52' Ford convertible and it uses the same motor as in my 53' Merc Convertible. He sent his motor to a guy in California and had it rewound, but it came back and never worked properly again. He wound up having to buy another motor. The two I have for my car, one is a 3 wire and the other is a 4 wire. From the wiring diagram I have the 3 wire motor is for a Lincoln (that is the one I have in my car) and the 4 wire motor is for a Mercury, is my back up. The Merc is screw jacks.

Hydro-E in Florida doesn't rebuild but they sent me in the direction of a great fellow in Texas (Jeff Woods - Terrell TX). He is currently servicing the motors. Fingers crossed.
