Default Model BB choke cable

Hello experts. I do not have a proper choke cable for my 32 BB (big) truck. It is longer than the cable for the Model B. Does anyone know of a repro manaufacturer? Is there a NOS source you think may be a source? Thank you!

Ron, the B and BB cowl is shorter, the cable is shorter also, I have a B pickup and finally found on good one from a guy rat rodding a BB truck, several people contacted me to say that they have one but what about 250.00 for one, one in Canada and one in Florida, hope to find a real nice one at swap meet some day, no one makes the shorter one, only car, if I remember correct, it is about 1 1/4 inch shorter, Bruce

The engine and firewall location is the same for 32 passenger cars and commercial vehicles. The legs on the instrument panel are longer on passenger cars making the firewall to instrument panel distance greater. This requires the passenger car cable to be longer to compensate.

Ron, would it be possible to shorten the passenger version and reattach the fitting on the end? I needed a shorter throttle linkage for my wagon, but I only had passenger length linkages. I drilled out the pins linking the two sections together, shortened one section and re-pinned.

Might be able to do that with the piece on the end of the cable.

'Less I perforate the hood.

Wanted, lower side sections of 32 radiator cowl.

At this point, I don't have anything with which to work. Appreciate your thought, though! Ron

When I first bought a Model B, all I had was the threaded dash fitting with the rusted stump that had once held the knob. I seriously thought about fabricating a usable part from the fitting, a repro knob, some speedometer cable and Model A bits for the coupler/driver...I think the approach might well be workable. I fortunately obtained usable original parts before making anything, but that was sheer dumb luck.
