Default FH pressure test

Anyone have a pressure test kit that they would be willing to sell?

I haven’t found the adapter the fits on the radiator neck for my 34, 36 or 37 in ANY pressure test kit.

I think most people referring to a pressure test kit for a flathead V8 are wanting to perform the test on a bare block. This involves some specialized test plates. Speedway has carried these kits in the past, but they have been 'out of stock' for a number of years. You can follow my attempts on a thread here called 'Testing Blocks at Home'. Now that it's winter I plan to get back and finish up my test kit.

Kind of off topic but still a pressure test. 1962, while hauling 2 tons of hay across the Mojave Desert in my Dad's 1/2 ton '50 International pickup the upper radiator tank developed a pin hole leak. No tools or supplies so I stopped & cut a mesquite branch, whittled it to a point & stuck it in the hole. Made it 35 miles up the mountain to Big Bear Lake with no problem. I guess it passed the test! Local radiator shop fixed it for $5.

I just had a 21 stud "pressure testing" plate made to locate a combustion leak into my cooling system. I have Speedways 24 stud plate, but needed the 21 stud. Mine is 1/2" thick, with a 1/4" rubber gasket. I just used it, and discovered a pin hole in the combustion chamber, barely visible!! I can have these made for $250. Let me know!!

Doug

Fortunately one of my good customers has a water jet cutter, he had his guy cut me a set of 21 stud plates and neoprene gaskets for me for a 12 pack of beer. I should have had a set cut for the 59 series but didn't. Hopefully I can get some done at some point!!!

Lol, IF you are implying I cut them myself with a sawzall, look close at my cut lines, IF I cut that clean with a sawzall I could make millions cutting for people, especially the 1/8 neoprene gaskets I cut with it!! NOT to mention the bolt circles

Actually the sawzall is there as I took this picture at work, the guys in my warehouse were using it to cut up pallets and broke the blade guard and brought it up to me so I could get it fixed!!! Truth be known!!
