Default 1938 C.O.E, engine and transmission

Should stop looking on Craigslist. The listing was for a 38 C.O.E. engine and transmission for what I thought was a fair price. After talking to the owner I put want over need and traded some parts and cash for a 59ab engine and trans out of a C.O.E. that he got in South Carolina recently. His plans are to use a modern frame and running gear with the cab with a pickup box etc. as his project so he had no use for the rest. Engine does turn over and is complete with the appropriate parts for the vehicle. My wife questions why but whose doesn't.

More pics of frame, was converted to a wrecker so lots of mods and welding. No rear suspension at all.

has hydraulic brakes, which really started in 39. be glad that it does have it--cable brakes on these trucks are awful. was a wrecker with a push bar on the front. manual 2 speed rear. wondered where it went to, it was sold about 30 miles from my location. my friend did a 38 cabover.
