Re: Hydro supercharger
I have turbo-charged my OHV race engine, it is easier than installing a supercharger. I am very happy with the way it runs.

Re: Hydro supercharger
It's been my understanding that there are 3 types of superchargers.
1. Turbocharger. 2. Roots type. 3. Centrifugal type. Never heard of a Hydro supercharger.

Re: Hydro supercharger
I am with Synchro on this one. It may improve the power a little if the manifold is a little larger in inside diameter.
I would just replace the muffler bearings and call it a day.

Re: Hydro supercharger
In the 60's companies like JC Whitney, Warshawsky and Rick 's (Rick Packs) sold similar devices that claimed 15 to 25% more power, more gasoline mileage and etc.
Sears, Wards, and Western Auto also sold them. The standard local joke was that if you used all ALL OF THE DEVICES that your gasoline tank would always be full and you could sometimes sell the extra gasoline! |

Re: Hydro supercharger
It is well recognised that a car runs better on a foggy night. Cool air and a bit of moisture help the engine. I imagine these devises imitate those conditions.

To me, the Mikes product for $885 seems like bunch of hocus pocus magical mystery meat.

Re: Hydro supercharger
I agree. IMO, a new high compression head from say, Snyders would coast less than half that and do more for your performance and economy.
