1930 Rear Brake Drum Hub Type/Style
I'm looking for information on these two different styles of Model AA Rear hubs, why the difference ? See attached photos ....

I wonder if the one on the right ws used with the 1931 spoke wheel?

If you check the "Service Bulletins " you will see when the early AA " scalloped " hub on the new bevel gear rear axle was changed . This early hub was causing wheel hub area failure with heavy loading . A stiffening plate was issued in service to prevent failure . Your pictures show both early and late styles .
