I notice nothing ever gets poster for 52 & 53's it is mostly 30's with a fair spatter of 40's cars. How many would like to see the post get split? Actually 52 &53 are kind of by themselves, but say 48 - 53 ???

You must be looking at something different than me, there is a lot of later model stuff posted here! And how would splitting them off increase the number of post?

If you have too many buckets it takes to long to go through them all. I like it the way it is currently.

Nope. You were outvoted back in the '80s when the V8 Club went the other direction to include the '41-'53. If you do feel that you can contribute fresh ideas to the club, consider becoming a National Director! It's a dirty job, but someone has to do it!

48-53???? 49-53 is more logical if you are going to split it. But I would say do not split it.

Works great as it is.
Thinking of a recent post on fitting an 8BA in a 40, poor bloke would have to post in two different areas and keep flicking to and fro, how would that be better?
Similar post turn up fairly regular.

:My vote is with the landslide majority. We're doing fine, and I read everything I have time for. Not to mention while we are not rodders (?per se) the parts do get shuffled around quite a bit.

PS: When I hit the big time I'll have me a '53 with pinstripes and curbfeelers

Not to mention that (God forbid) a lot of people have later engines in earlier cars so there is always some element of crossover. The things specific to post 48 (axles, transmissions) are, admittedly, rarely mentioned though. I don't think there is enough "traffic" for post 48 but pre Y-block stuff that isn't engine related to justify a separate section. If you have a question relating to this area, just ask, there's someone that's been there and done that.
