RatFink, would you be able to make new fenders from flat sheet? A lot of us here would love to see this process when you get started.

Hey GB,
If you really want to see the entire process done to perfection.... get Ron Covells SCRATCH BUILDING A FENDER, by Ron Covell (1000-24), He also offers streaming of all his videos on his website as well. Im not sure if we are allowed to post links? But its easy enough to lookup. I recently emailed with Ron this past week as he was helping me with minor issues. Point is this video covers building from scratch a 1935-37 rear Ford truck fender step by step.

Not being too computer literate I don't understand how to get something called 1000-24. Maybe I can stream it from his website. Will take a look. And still, if you will post photos here, us barners can ask a question or two about why you did this or that. Thanks

I'd think if like Rootleib or some other steel body component manufacturer, could come up with good '35-'36-'37 rear PU fenders, they'd sell a lot of them....

You can leave out the number (1000-24)
Just type the title of the video in google search, or yahoo search, or Bing search. SCRATCH BUILDING A FENDER, by Ron Covel

Thanks for posting the pictures. I had no idea of the difference between the 50- and the 67- fenders. The photos make it very clear.

I’m not looking to sell them as I need them for my pickup, but you are welcome to take patterns and dimensions from them, whatever you would need to build yourself some bucks, if you do intend to build some. I’m assuming you have a fair bit of metalshaping experience if you are planning to build some fenders. Redmond is probably two hours north of me. It’s at least an option for you.

I’ve known Colton for about 20 years and he is a very talented metalshaper. He also makes complete rear fenders for the 35-37 pickups. I have a customer that recently ordered some. I’ll have to share some pictures when they get delivered.

Just so you guys know, OldGold 360 makes some really nice repair panels for these trucks and the fenders. I have bought from him and if I'm not mistaken, some of his fender repair pieces were used to fix the '37 fender I have pictured. The '35's haven't been repaired yet, but you can see there is a difference. From what I can tell, all of the guys spoken about in this thread are skilled craftsmen.
